Padiet Wang

The South Sudan international joined Scorchers off the back of the FIBA World Cup (qualifiers) where the high-flying guard is averaging 5 points per game in under 20 minutes of court time. 

The 6’4 guard started his 2021/22 season with Portuguese side Academica in the Portugal-Lisa Betclic before finishing the season playing for the Cobras in the recently launched African BAL. 

It was here Wang demonstrated his versatility on the court as he averaged 15 points, 7 assists, 3 rebounds and 2 steals.

Prior to his professional career Wang grew up in Colorado and completed his collegiate career at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS). In his senior year Wang impacted the court at both ends of the floor being named RMAC defensive player of the year and reigns as the all-time UCCS leader in steals.
