Surrey Scorchers fell just short against B.Braun Sheffield Sharks in front of a sell-out crowd at the Sports Park Arena in Round 2 of the British Basketball League.
Having come from behind, Scorchers managed to level the score in the dying seconds of the final quarter when New Zealander Jordan Hunt landed two free-throws.
The opening quarter saw the visitors lead by only one point. At the break Sheffield had managed to extend their lead to eight points. Scorchers showed real fight in the second-half, and both the third and the fourth quarter ended with the score level.
Hunt finished the day as the Scorchers’ leading point scorer (15), whilst Saiquan Jamison secure the most amount of rebounds (15).
Scorchers next travel to Glasgow to take on Caledonia Gladiators on Thursday, October 5th.
