Surrey Scorchers secured a memorable victory at home against second sitting Bristol Flyers on Remembrance Day.
Lloyd Gardner’s side led the opening two quarters, before the visitors claimed a narrow lead in the third. It went down to the wire, with the home side coming out victorious in front of a jubilant crowd at Sports Park Arena.
Quin Cooper finished the night as Scorchers’ top point scorer on 23, closely followed by Padiet Wang on 18. Wang also claimed 8 assists, whilst Saiquan Jamison finished on 7 rebounds.
The win sees Scorchers move up to eighth in the table, whilst Flyers move down to third. The West Country side make the trip back to Surrey for the second time in a week on Saturday, November 18th.
