Surrey Scorchers fell just short against Cheshire Phoenix at home at Sports Park Arena in Round 4 of the British Basketball League season.
The Scorchers led in the first quarter. However, the foul count wasn’t on their side during the remainder of the game.
Josh Steel finished the night as Scorchers’ leading point scorer, whilst Saiquan Jamison remained the rebound king (12) and, along with Padiet Wang, finished the game on 5 rebounds.
Scorchers next travel to the Midlands to take on Leicester Riders on Friday, October 13th and will be back in the Dragon’s Den on Sat, October 21st to take on Manchester Giants.
Earlier on in the day Scorchers II claimed the win against Northamptonshire Titans in the opening round of the National Cup. The final score 86-62.
