Scorchers look to continue run of form over the weekend

Coming off the back of their astounding title winning at the British Basketball All-Star Championships last weekend, Scorchers will now return to league action in the BBL.

Having secured their first win of the season against Manchester Giants last time out in the league, the side will be looking to build on their current form.

First up, on Friday Scorchers face a long journey to the north east of England to face Esh Group Eagles Newcastle at the Sport Central arena.

Scorchers boast wins in their last three clashes with the Eagles, most recently at the All-Star Championships, alongside two wins at Surrey Sports Park in the 2017/18 BBL Championship.

However, with an unbeaten record thus far in the BBL, Eagles will certainly prove tough opponents for Creon Raftopoulos’ side.

Following their game on Friday (19th Oct), Scorchers will return south to face Worcester Wolves at Surrey Sports Park on Sunday (21st Oct).

Wolves were also amongst the sides defeated by Scorchers at the All-Star Championships, and the Surrey side will be hoping for a similar result in front of the home faithful.

With just one win in their first four games, Wolves will also be determined to kick-start their season against the in-form Scorchers.

Tickets are still available for our next home game!
