Wilkins departs Scorchers

Surrey Scorchers can confirmed that Henry Wilkins has completed a transfer to Spanish outfit Globalcaja Quintanar.

The Guildford-born shooting guard signed during the pre-season period and made a total of 14 appearances for Scorchers, scoring a 5.42ppg average.

Wilkins will now head to Liga EBA outfit Globalcaja Quintanar, returning to Spanish basketball having played for C.B. Villarrrobledo last season.

Upon making the transfer, Wilkins said: “I want to say a huge thanks to Coach Creon and the whole Scorchers organisation for giving me the opportunity to represent Surrey. They stuck with me through some tough times early in the season with my health and I'm very grateful for their help during that period.

“I also want to thank them for their cooperation and understanding throughout this process. We are a young club going through some growing pains but I'm confident that Coach Creon and the boys will turn the season around in these remaining months!

“I'm super excited to return to Spain and join the league leaders in their race to the playoffs!”

Everyone at Surrey Scorchers thanks Henry for his contribution this season and wishes him the best in his future career.
