Tayo Ogedengbe returns to Scorchers for his eighth season with the franchise
Surrey Scorchers are thrilled to announce Tayo Ogedengbe has returned to the club for his eighth season at Surrey Sports Park.
The 35-year-old veteran was one of Scorchers most consistent performers last year carrying the team throughout injury spells averaging 12 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists.
The face of the franchise and fan favourite is not looking to slow down as the Scorchers look to build upon the foundations made and push for play offs.
Wanting to get back to winning ways Tayo commented: “It’s always an honour to represent Surrey Scorchers and to put on the jersey for this club. I feel in great shape and ready to go another year with this family.
After a difficult season last year, the fans were unbelievable in supporting us throughout. It is a new season and a fresh start; we will be pushing to give the fans winning game days and a play-off experience which we have missed out on of recent.
It is a very important season for us moving forward as not only a team but also a club, we have set high goals and targets and I look forward to putting in the work to achieve them.”
