Surrey Scorchers are delighted to announce the signing of American Guard Josh Jefferson
Jefferson joins the Scorchers from Middle Tennessee where the guard had an impressive final season averaging 15 points per game whilst shooting 37% from the field.
The Indiana native will bring a new scoring dynamic to the team proving to have the ability to lead a squad to wins with a 18-6 winning record with his former MT Blue Raiders.
With Scorchers dealing with injuries the 6ft Guard arrives in time ahead of a big double header weekend. Jefferson will make his debut against reigning champions Leicester Riders at home, followed by hitting the road to Cheshire Phoenix on Sunday.
Excited to start his career at Scorchers, Jefferson commented “I’m excited to come to a competitive league under a good coach and with a good team, I’m ready to get going.
I feel like I can do a lot that can contribute to a win and turn things around. It has been great so far; the guys have been helping me out on and off the floor since arriving.
I will be looking forward to meeting all the Surrey fans and getting them some wins”.
