Surrey Scorchers 90 Plymouth Raiders 98

Scorchers suffered defeat SSP as Plymouth Raiders continued their good form.

Tony Hicks led the way for Surrey with 18 points, but it was Ricky McGill who had the last laugh for the Raiders as he finished with 20 points and the victory.

Surrey started the game strongly on the offensive end as Tony Hicks was scoring at will.

But Plymouth matched the attacking onslaught as McGill and Ashley Hamilton were scoring from inside and outside.

Cameron Hildreth checked into the game and knocked down back-to-back threes, but Plymouth led after ten minutes.

Scorchers played some outstanding basketball in the second quarter as they held Plymouth to just ten points.

Surrey poured in 26 of their own as an impressive team display turned the game on its head, giving Scorchers the lead at the half-time interval.

Raiders came out of the break on fire and scored 30 points once again in the third quarter, as Mike Morsell caught fire and re-gained the lead for the visitors.

The game was neck-and-neck in the fourth quarter, but the game shifted when Tony Hicks was ejected from the contest.

Ricky McGill scored at will in the final minutes to ensure Plymouth head back to the South-West with the 98-90 win.
