SURREY SCORCHERS 87 PLYMOUTH RAIDERS 77

Scorchers make it back-to-back wins in the BBL Cup with a dominant display against the Plymouth Raiders.

Tayo Ogedengbe continued his fantastic form as he scored 31 points in the victory.

Scorchers looked to pick up from where they left off against Worcester on Friday, and they certainly did that – racing out to a 22-13 lead after one quarter.

Creon’s side continued to dominate in the second quarter and held a commanding 50-29 lead at the half-time interval.

Plymouth came back fighting in the second half as Josh Wilcher led the charge.

But Tayo Ogedengbe continued his red-hot form and carried Scorchers over the line to make it back-to-back wins in the BBL Cup.

Scorchers defeat the Raiders 87-77 to keep our BBL Cup hopes alive.

Tayo Ogedengbe: “The crowd were amazing. I can’t thank them enough. Without them I wouldn’t have had the extra energy that I needed to push through today.”

Our next home game is the start of the BBL Championship campaign, as we welcome the Bristol Flyers to SSP.
