Surrey Scorchers 85 Worcester Wolves 75

Scorchers bounced back from a disappointing defeat on Friday night with a ten-point victory against Worcester Wolves at Surrey Sports Park.

Evan Walshe scored two late baskets to secure the victory for Creon Raftopoulos’ side, as the win keeps Surrey’s playoff hopes alive.

The opening quarter was an even affair as Lacey James and Jordan Williams battled inside.

Their duel continued into the second quarter, but a buzzer-beater three-point shot from Tony Hicks gave Scorchers a seven-point advantage at the interval.

Worcester came out fighting in the third quarter as they took the lead heading into the final quarter.

British rookies Evan Walshe and Cameron Hildreth stepped up to the plate in the final quarter with multiple baskets.

Hildreth nailed three free-throws while Walshe scored back-to-back baskets to secure the win at SSP.
