Sevenoaks Suns to open Scorchers Halloween Game

Surrey Sports Park will welcome Women’s British Basketball League (WBBL) side Sevenoaks Suns once again this weekend as they open a bumper Saturday of basketball.

The afternoon will kick off with an U18s game at 2pm and a WBBL fixtures at 4.30pm, both against the Cardiff Met Archers.

Surrey Scorchers will then take to the court at 7pm for their BBL clash with the Plymouth Raiders.

The Suns under 18s have started their National League season in fine form, picking up 3 wins in 4 games to sit top of the table ahead of Southend Swifts.

Their WBBL side meanwhile kicked off their season last weekend with a 59-54 win against the Leicester Riders.

Suns have an extensive roster full of talent to bring to Guildford this weekend, including summer signing Beatriz Royo Torres from Spain’s Liga Feminina, GB forward Chantelle Pressley (WBBL Defensive Team of the Year in 2014/15 season) and Gabby Nikitinait, who was a close runner-up in the WBBL Youth Player of the Year award last season.

Entry to both Sevenoaks Suns games is FREE with no ticket required. If fans wish to stay for the Scorchers game tickets will need to be purchased in advance online (don’t forget that pre-sale is cheaper than on the door) or by visiting the Surrey Sports Park reception desk.

Don't forget that Saturday's game has a Halloween theme and the best dressed fans will win prizes including copies of NBA 2K16 on PS4 and Xbox One, game tickets and more!
