Scorchers welcome K.C. Ross-Miller

Surrey Scorchers is delighted to announce the signing of former Auburn guard K.C. Ross-Miller for the remainder of the 2015/16 BBL season.

The 6’0”, 24-year-old American point guard arrives to bring crucial experience to Scorchers backcourt after a season with the Auburn Tigers at Auburn University.

Last season saw Ross-Miller average 7.1 points per game, with 83 assists and an average of 2.1 rebounds and 1.5 steals.

Speaking on his arrival at Surrey Sports Park, Scorchers new number 10, Ross-Miller, said: “I’m excited about this opportunity. I’m ready and prepared to come here and help the team and do what it takes to win. That’s what’s really important to me – winning and having fun!”

Scorchers Coach Creon Raftopoulos said, “I’m really excited to have KC join us. Everybody knows Elvisi has been doing a good job at the point guard position but we’ve been pretty thin there. KC is a natural point guard who can lead us and is also capable of getting some points where we need them.

“I’m delighted to get him here. He’s somebody I looked at towards the beginning of the season and to finally have him with us is going to be a treat for Scorchers fans.”

Ross-Miller was rated a three-star prospect out of God’s Academy in Dallas, Texas in 2010. He committed to Kentucky, signed with LSU and was declared academically ineligible in the summer of 2010. He played at New Orleans during his freshman season in college and averaged 9.2 points and 3.2 assists before his arrival at New Mexico State, where he played two seasons averaging 8.3 points in 30 games with 104 total assists (3.5apg).

After landing in the UK today, Ross-Miller remains a doubt for a start against London Lions this Saturday but could feature.
