A close battle with Sheffield at home

In an exciting match between the Surrey Scorchers and Sheffield Sharks, it was a game of two halves. The Scorchers came out of the gate firing on all cylinders, knocking down shots from beyond the arc with ease. Padiet Wang was particularly impressive, finishing the first half with an impressive 19 points, leaving the Sharks struggling to find a way to stop him.

However, the second half was a completely different story, with both sides making runs and the lead continuously changing hands. McFolley hit a huge 3-pointer to give the Scorchers a one-point lead, but a failure to secure the rebound at the defensive end allowed Sheffield to make a mid-range jump shot with just 5 seconds left on the clock, sealing the win.

The final score was 67-70 in favour of the Sharks, a hard-fought win in what was a thrilling match.
