Surrey Scorchers can confirm we will not be offering season tickets for the 2020/2021 BBL season.
It is a decision we have not taken lightly, and we are just as disappointed as our loyal fans will be.
As it currently stands, it is not clear when audiences will be allowed to return to sporting events.
We are hoping some more information will be provided following some successful pilot events – including the Basketball pilot event hosted by the Newcastle Eagles on Friday night.
Surrey Sports Park has a capacity of 970 on game days. As you can imagine, with social distancing rules and regulations in place, we will be forced to reduce this figure significantly.
As a franchise and as a venue, we will need to remain flexible in order to maintain Government guidelines, and ensure the financial security of the club.
As a result of this, we have taken the decision to follow some other BBL clubs with restricted venues, and will not be offering season tickets for the 2020/2021 BBL season.
As an alternative, we are launching a brand-new Scorchers Membership scheme – bringing your closer to the team than ever before.
Members will receive unique benefits, including 24-hour priority booking for all of our home games in the 2020/2021 BBL season, as well as exclusive content from Creon Raftopoulos and the team.
Season ticket holders from last season will automatically be transferred to our new Membership Scheme free of charge.
More information will be provided for our membership package in the coming weeks.
If you have any questions, or would like some more information, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you for your fantastic support, and we hope you understand the difficult decision we have had to make.
We cannot wait to welcome you back to Surrey Sports Park as soon as it is safe to do so.
All the best,
