Surrey Scorchers are looking to bounce back from their Cup defeat against Manchester Giants with a victory against DBL Sharks Sheffield in the British Basketball Championship.
Creon Raftopoulos’ side will be looking to recapture the form which they showed in their last league outing against Worcester Wolves.
The visitors have also experienced a mixed start to their Championship campaign, holding a record of three wins and three defeats and sitting 6thin the league table.
The two sides faced as recently as September, Sharks emerging 99-90 winners at home on the night after a strong performance from Rene Castro-Caneddy.
However, Scorchers will be hoping to ride off the support of the ever-loud Surrey crowd as they play their third straight home game.
Speaking after last Sunday’s loss to Giants, Coach Creon was keen to stress the importance of the game for both sides.
“Being a Championship game, we want to get the win and climb up the table.” Raftopoulos said.
“We know that home court is very important, and Sheffield haven’t had an easy go of it at the moment so they’ll be coming here desperate.”
Tickets are still available for the game this Sunday!
