Scorchers re-sign Jordan Williams

Surrey Scorchers Head Coach Creon Raftopoulos has re-signed GB under-20 forward Jordan Williams.

The 6’8” talent featured 18 times for Scorchers last season, registering a 9.94 points per game and 7.69 rebounds per game average in the league, and become a firm fans favourite for his athletic game and ability to play above the rim with ease.

Jordan was awarded the Midnight Madness Young Player of the Year Award in April, rewarding him for an excellent debut season in the BBL.

Williams arrived in Surrey in January of this year, having spent the early part of this season with Belgian second division side KBBC Oostkamp on a short-term loan until December. Williams previously plied his trade with Duva Oostende in the same division and the Greenwich Titans in England.

Jordan goes straight into the roster ahead of Friday night’s home clash with the Leicester Riders, and will prove to be a useful addition to ignite his side’s season at the third attempt.
