In a tightly contested game, Surrey Scorchers and Manchester Giants battled it out with neither team able to pull away by more than 6 points in regulation. In a crucial moment, Scorchers sent Dirk Williams to the free throw line with Giants leading by 1 point. Williams made one of two, giving Scorchers 11 seconds to tie the game. A missed layup by Jalen Ray was tipped in by Shakem Johnson, sending the game into overtime.
Johnson electrified the crowd with a posterizing dunk on Robertin in the extra period, followed by Padiet with a slam of his own. However, in the final plays, Scorchers were called for an 8-second violation resulting in a turnover. Rahmon Fletcher stepped up to secure the win with a jump shot, leading Giants to a 1-point victory in one of the most thrilling games of the season.
