Surrey Scorchers Head Coach Creon Raftopoulos has added Nigerian-British Samuel Toluwase to the roster ahead of Saturday’s 2015/16 British Basketball League (BBL) season opener at Bristol.
The 30 year old guard made his BBL debut in 2009 with the Essex Pirates, featuring in 69 games across their two season stint in top level UK basketball.
Since then Toluwase has plied his trade in both Iceland and Italy while also featuring in the Nigerian national squad.
Samuel has joined Scorchers on a game-by-game basis, with a view to joining permanently in the coming weeks, and will go straight into Coach Creon’s squad for Saturday’s away game at Bristol Flyers.
