Surrey Scorchers are delighted to announce the return of Henry Wilkins for the remainder of the 2021/22 season.
The versatile shooting guard will be joining Scorchers at a much-needed time due to on-going injuries throughout the 2021/22 campaign.
Wilkins brings a wealth of experience playing overseas for a number of seasons before returning to the BBL for the Scorchers in 2019.
The Guildford native most recently suited up for the Worcester Wolves before they made an exit from the BBL and after some time away from basketball Wilkins is back and excited to return to play in his hometown.
Wilkins commented: “I’m super excited, I have so many great memories here previously. I’ve been at the last few home games and really got the bug back to compete.
“It’s been a quick turnaround for myself, so I’m learning our tendencies and plays but I feel good and the guys are ready to go.”
Coach Creon added “With our injury crisis continuing and Henry being back in the area I am happy to have his experience coming into the squad.
“He’s a hard worker and previously playing here before will be able to slot in providing good cover with McLemore and Dang-Akodo still out injured.”
