Quincy Taylor is back in blue as he returns to the Surrey Scorchers franchise
Surrey Scorchers are thrilled to announce Quincy Taylor has returned to the club for a third stint with the franchise.
The 31-year-old point guard previous played with the club in the 2016/17 season, as well as in 2018/19. During this time Taylor became a Surrey Sports Park fan favourite after some memorable clutch performances.
Last season the Michigan native played in Mexico in the CIBACOPA as well as the Estonian-Latvian basketball league. Here he averaged 10 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists per game.
Excited to be returning Taylor commented “I am looking forward to re-joining the Scorchers and seeing the fans at Surrey Sports park. I had some great memories playing for the franchise and can’t wait to get on the floor.
Other than Tayo a lot has changed at Surrey with a fresh new team. I have seen the BBL continue to grow, and the level of competition elevate, so I am looking forward to the challenge and competing to get some wins.”
Head Coach Lloyd Gardner commented: “We are delighted to be adding Quincy to our team. He is an experienced leader who obviously knows the league and our franchise well.
He is a creative offensive player who has proved himself capable of generating offence for both himself and teammates something that we think will add to our current roster.”
