The Opposition

One of the BBL's most successful outfits, second only to the Newcastle Eagles, Sheffield Sharks have enjoyed a well-decorated life in the UK's top flight of pro basketball. With 3 league titles and 1 play-off win to their name since 1994, they will be looking to add to their silverware this season following a oh-so-near campaign in 2013/14 and 2014/15.

Ones to Watch

Sharks’ Antone Robinson scored 23 points when the two sides met in Sheffield at the beginning of January, aiding his 16.17ppg average for the Sharks so far this season.

Couple this with Jerrold Brooks’ 18.88ppg average and you have a side capable of taking baskets when they need to.

The Roster

Jordon Williams made a return to the roster for last weekend’s double header following an light injury, leaving Coach Creon with a full roster to pick from.

The Form

A fine run of form has seen Sharks hit 7 BBL Championship wins since the turn of the year, plus a BBL Trophy semi-final to add to their hopes of securing silverware this season.

A thrilling 79-all draw at the Leicester Riders last weekend leaves them with a huge home second leg this evening, before travelling to Newcastle on Friday and Surrey on Sunday.

Sharks’ last 5 games: DWLWW

Fans from across the BBL turned their heads in admiration of Scorchers’ 4th quarter comeback at Lions last Friday, as they turned around a 21-point deficit to secure their first BBL Championship win since December.

A disappointing result followed at home to the Plymouth Raiders on Sunday, but Coach Creon will be focusing on their efforts in the capital going forward as they continue their quest for the play-offs.

Scorchers’ last 5 games: LWLLW
