Established in 1998, Glasgow kicked off life in the BBL Championship as the Edinburgh Rocks before dropping down to the National League for three seasons. A name change to the Scottish Rocks followed, which saw the outfit secure a play-off winners title at the first attempt in 2003.
Several oh-so-nears followed, before the current Glasgow Rocks set up arrived in the 2009/10 season.
A 50% win rate in the league thus far this season see’s the Rocks sit in 5th place in the BBL Championship, with their eyes set firmly on their second consecutive play-off spot finish.
Ones to Watch
3-point specialist Riley Grabau will be looking to add to his 36 buckets scored so far this season, while Scorchers will be looking to close out Kieron Achara who was one of five players to notch double figures when the sides met back in December, and holds a 12.5ppg average in the BBL Championship.
Scorchers Head Coach Creon Raftopoulos will have an almost full roster to choose from for Saturday's game, with only Will Neighbour missing from action.
A 10 point loss at the hands of the Cheshire Phoenix last weekend takes Rocks into the game with a single loss this side of the New Year period.
Just 1 loss in 6 preceded this, which saw them propel themselves into the top 5.

Scorchers were part of BBL history last weekend when they were hosted by the Leicester Riders in their brand new arena, live on Sky Sports, but came home without a spot in the BBL Trophy semi-finals thanks to a 77-60 defeat.
With just 1 win in their last 9 games, Coach Creon Raftopoulos’ men are still searching for that elusive first league win in 2016.
