Maintaining the tradition of New Years Day spectacles, the Scorchers fans sold out Sports Park and received their first home win of the season. Having only played Flyers a little over a week prior, the home side were locked in from tip off and remained in control throughout the game. Another huge performance from Padiet Wang hauling in 21 points and 9 rebounds as well as bench production from Boban Jacdonmi pitching in 15 points in just over 20 minutes of court time. Scorchers continue the New Years Day winning streak and a record of 12 -1 on January 1st games.
