Surrey Scorchers were defeated 95-60 by the Leicester Riders tonight in the BBL Championship.
Riders, who have already been crowned Champions put in a dominant performance and led throughout the entire game.
Tony Hicks top-scored for Scorchers with 21 points and Gerald Robinson was next highest with 12.
It was a tough start to the night for Scorchers who trailed by ten after just over 5 minutes.
The first quarter ended with Riders leading 26-11 and they didn’t look back from there.
Rob Paternostro’s side confirmed their BBL Championship title a number of weeks ago but had lost their two previous fixtures.
They continued to dominate and opened up a 22-point lead at half-time.
With a number of tactical changes throughout the game, Creon Raftopoulos’ side struggled to contain the 3-peat champions.
Scorchers will look to return to winning ways as Newcastle Eagles visit Surrey Sports Park tomorrow with a 2pm tip-off!
