Scorchers pick up American Guard Josh McFolley
Surrey Scorchers are excited to announce the signing of American guard Josh McFolley to bolster their squad for the remainder of the season. The Scorchers have been hit with injury issues, and Josh’s arrival comes at a much-needed time for the team.
Josh McFolley, a 26-year-old native of Detroit, has played professionally in both Slovakia and Finland. In his time with BC Prievidza in Slovakia last season, Josh averaged an impressive 16.5 points per game, 2 rebounds, and 4 assists. The 6’1 guard finished his season off in Finland with Kipina averaging 29.8 points 6 rebounds and 7 assists across 4 games.
“We are delighted to add Josh and his experience to our backcourt.” said Head Coach Lloyd Gardner. “We have obviously had some injury issues in that position all year and we are confident Josh will be able to come in fill a need for us. He has already established himself as a professional in Europe and his playmaking and competitiveness will be a much-needed boost for us at this time in the season.”
Josh is excited to join the Surrey Scorchers and is eager to help the team reach its full potential. “I’m looking forward to getting to know my new teammates and coaches and contributing to the team’s success,” said Josh. “I’ll bring my best effort every day and do whatever it takes to help the team win.”
The Surrey Scorchers are looking forward to seeing Josh in action and are confident he will be a valuable addition to the team. Josh is expected to make his debut for the Scorchers this Friday on Sky Sports against Sheffield Sharks.
