British point guard Elvisi Dusha is the latest player to commit to Surrey Scorchers ahead of the 2015/16 British Basketball League (BBL) season.
The 21 year old is a familiar face for Surrey basketball fans having captained Surrey United for two seasons in the BBL, notching an impressive 67 career appearances and over 2200 minutes on court.
Dusha has also featured for the GB under-20s and is one of the BBL’s top home grown talents having moved to the UK when he was just 5 years old.
Elvisi has spent a number of weeks during the off-season working with Coach Raftopoulos at Surrey Sports Park, who was pleased to sign the London United-Harefield Academy graduate.
“Elvisi is a great talent. He has a passion for the game and is ready to continue learning and developing as a player.
“I want to sign players who will respect one and other and uphold their responsibilities on and off court. Elvisi is well liked within the Surrey crowd and I know that his signing will be popular with our fans.”
Dusha’s signing comes in a busy week for Coach Creon, who has also added US imports Andreas Schreiber and Desmond Lee to the roster in the last 7 days.
