Dusha returns to Scorchers

Surrey Scorchers are delighted to announce the re-signing of British point guard Elvisi Dusha.

Following a short stint in Germany, Dusha returned to England this week to continue his career in the British Basketball League with Scorchers.

Coach Creon said: “I have been in constant contact with Elvisi while he has been away. He expressed an interest in returning and I was happy to fit him in with my plans.

“I am not the sort of coach who would selfishly step in the way of a player wanting to try new experiences and test themselves at another club or league, which is why we allowed Elvisi to go a fortnight ago.

“We have to make sure that the players we bring in a right for this club. Nobody has an automatic slot for them. But I am pleased to be able to have Elvisi back to take up that vacant point guard role.”

Following his re-signing, Elvisi said: “I always want to push myself and take up new challenges when they come. Returning to Scorchers is a challenge in itself and I am ready to get back to working hard and learning from Coach Creon and the players around me.

“I also can’t wait to see the fans again. They make this club special and I hope I will be welcomed back with open arms.”

Elvisi will return to court this Saturday when Scorchers host the Plymouth Raiders at Surrey Sports Park in the BBL Championship. Tickets for the 7pm tip-off are on sale now – click here to buy online.

Don’t forget that the game will have a special Halloween theme so get your costumes at the ready – there will be great spot prizes on the night for the best dressed fans!
