Creon and Henry Wilkins: Glasgow Rocks Preview

Scorchers are back in action tomorrow night as we welcome the high-flying Glasgow Rocks to SSP.

Creon’s team will be looking to end a losing run in front of the home crowd, and get our play-off push back on track.

Looking ahead to a tough battle against Glasgow, Henry Wilkins said: “Training has been really good.

“Obviously coming off the back of losses you have to re-evaluate a little bit.

“We’ve had a really productive week of preparation ahead of a tough opponent in Glasgow.

“Our big focus is on defence, defending the ball screen, and playing with intensity from the start.

“The fans are going to be important, the atmosphere last weekend was amazing, and we very nearly beat one of the top teams in the league.

“Hopefully with the same energy and intensity from the fans we can put on a good show and get the win that they deserve.”

Head Coach Creon

Creon is looking to turn good performances into wins.

Looking ahead to the clash, Creon Raftopoulos added: “We are in a position now where we desperately need to start picking up wins.

“As happy as we can be in regards to our competitiveness (against Leicester), we need to turn that into wins if we are going to give ourselves a chance of getting into the playoffs.

“I think we’ve got a really tough run-in compared to other teams, but that’s the nature of it, we knew that coming in.

“So Saturday night is going to be very important for us and we need to give a full 40-minute performance and feed off our crowds’ energy.

“I think (MBA) will make a big difference, I think he will help a lot because Glasgow are a big team.

“As a team we’ve got to apply ourselves defensively and that has been our Achilles’ heel this season.

“We’ve not got a problem scoring, but stopping other teams from scoring.

“We’ve worked tirelessly this week on that so hopefully it will translate in the game.”
