Behrens departs for Spain

Surrey Scorchers can confirm that British-American power forward Christian Behrens has left the club to join LEB Gold side San Pablo Inmobiliaria Miraflores Burgos.

The 24 year old signed for Scorchers in October having made his professional debut at Austrian first division side WBC Wels.

Christian made 20 appearances in all competitions for Surrey this season, scoring an 11.1ppg average including a 25 point haul at Plymouth on December 27th.

Behrens will now make the move to the Spanish 2nd division outfit and looks to make his debut as soon as this weekend when they face Palma Air Europa.

Scorchers are back in BBL Championship action on Friday evening when they host the Cheshire Phoenix in a 7.30pm tip-off at Surrey Sports Park.
