Surrey Scorchers staff have returned from furlough as we step up our preparations for the 2020/2021 British Basketball League season!
As the new season draws nearer, the Surrey Scorchers are working at full speed to ensure we are prepared and ready for a highly-anticipated new campaign.
With our neighbours, the London Lions, competing in the Basketball Champions League, as well as fellow BBL teams announcing exciting signings for their rosters, there is no doubt the upcoming season will be one of the most competitive yet.
The Scorchers have ambitions to return to the court stronger than ever, and we cannot wait to welcome back our wonderful fans to Surrey Sports Park, as soon as it is safe to do so.
Looking ahead to the new season, Director of Basketball and Head Coach Creon Raftopoulos said: “Firstly, I hope all of our fans have remained safe and well during these challenging times.
“We are happy to be back at work and building for the new season.
“Right now we are planning for a number of scenarios in order to maintain the great game night experiences the Sports Park provides, as well as assembling the strongest team we can to challenge in all competitions this season.”
