Surrey Scorchers 83 Plymouth Raiders 112

Scorchers were eliminated from the BBL Trophy at the semi-final stage as we were beaten by the Plymouth Raiders at Surrey Sports Park.

Ricky McGill continued his hot shooting from Friday’s first leg with a 32-point display, while Chris Porter-Bunton added 18 points in the first half.

Scorchers started the game well with a ferocious jam from Lacey James.

But Prince Ibeh replied with a jam of his own as Porter-Bunton and Mike Morsell led the charge for Plymouth.

Raiders continued their impressive performance in the second quarter as Porter-Bunton continued to score at will.

The visitors went into the half-time interval with a 20-point advantage.

Scorchers showed a fightback in the third quarter as Tayo Ogedengbe, Tony Hicks and Lacey James reduced the deficit to below 20.

Plymouth scored at will in the final quarter to extend the lead to over 30 points, putting the game to bed and eliminating Surrey from the BBL Trophy.

Raiders will face London Lions in the BBL Trophy Final next sunday.

Surrey are back in action on Wednesday as we travel to the Leicester Riders.
