The Scorchers recorded a dramatic win in overtime to defeat the Bristol Flyers 102-97 to retain their home win streak.
The teams couldn’t be separated after four quarters and needed an extra five minutes to split them.
Tayo Ogedengbe scored seven of the ten Scorchers points in overtime to extend the winning streak at Surrey Sports Park to nine games.
Gerald Robinson led the scoring with 30 points while Tony Hicks added 21 points and 10 assists.
Scorchers started the game strongly, charging out to a 31-18 lead after ten minutes.
Bristol fought back in the second quarter to end the half with a narrow lead.
The teams were neck and neck through much of the third quarter, before Brandon Boggs helped extend the Flyers lead to eight points.
But the Scorchers didn’t lie down and fought back to regain the lead midway through the fourth quarter.
They continued to share the lead and could not be seperated in regulation and headed to overtime.
Tayo Ogedengbe took over in overtime, scoring seven of the ten points as Scorchers charged over the line to secure yet another win at Surrey Sports Park.
