Surrey Scorchers is delighted to welcome US import Quincy Taylor to Surrey Sports Park for the 2016/17 British Basketball League season.
The point guard made his BBL debut in January, signing for the Cheshire Phoenix to kick off his overseas playing career. He notched an impressive 14.8ppg average in his half a season spell at the club, making him a key target for Coach Creon this season.
Taylor’s college career started at the University of Alabama Birmingham before moving to Longwood University averaging 17.2 points per game, shooting 48% from the 3-point line.
Following the signing, Coach Creon said: “I am really excited to bring Quincy to Scorchers this season. He is a proven scorer in the BBL and I think fans will love his passion and ability on court.”
Quincy becomes Scorchers’ sixth pre-season signing and leaves one spot open for a third American to join the roster.
