Surrey Scorchers is delighted to announce the signing of Jonathan Dogbo for the remainder of the 2018/19 British Basketball League season.
The 6’4 Frenchman joins Scorchers following stints in Ireland and Slovakia and will add some firepower to Creon Raftopoulos’s roster.
While playing for Shkupi Skopje in Macedonia during the 2017/18 season, Dogbo averaged an impressive 16 points and 7.3 rebounds per game.
Dogbo expressed his excitement signing for Scorchers, and his eagerness to play in the BBL.
“I’m excited to sign for Surrey, I’ve heard some great things about the organisation and that Guildford is a great place to live.
“I have heard nothing but positive things about the BBL, so I am looking forward to this opportunity, and I can’t wait to take on this new challenge whilst helping the team climb the ranks.”
With a much-needed win seemingly on the horizon for Scorchers, the 27-year-old feels he will help make a difference.
“I believe that I will bring a lot of energy and positivity to the team, and with my athletic abilities, I believe that I can help the team pick up the pace.
“Most importantly I want to make sure that I fit well with the coach’s system and that I can become an integral part of the team.”
