Scorchers sign DJ Felder

Surrey Scorchers is pleased to confirm the signing of American Power Forward DJ Felder ahead of the new BBL season.

The 24-year-old, 6’7” import was a standout player for NCAA Division I Jacksonville State of the Ohio Valley Conference. Over the course of his career there, Felder emerged as one of the Gamecocks' primary offensive weapons while also stepping up as his team's premier defender.

Scorchers Head Coach Creon Raftopoulos said, “I’m delighted to have added DJ to the squad. I’ve been monitoring him for a while, as he has all the attributes to play a key role for Scorchers and make an impact in the BBL this season.

“Fans can expect a strong, dynamic power forward, a superb midrange shooter, with an excellent shooting touch.”

DJ Felder joins captain Tayo Ogedengbe as Surrey’s second signing and first overseas player. He will join up with the squad in the coming month, as Scorchers prepare for their BBL opener away to Bristol Flyers on Saturday 19 September.

Scorchers fans will first get to see DJ in BBL action at Surrey Sports Park against Champions Newcastle Eagles on Friday 25 September.

Season tickets are now available to buy online at the Early Bird price of £112 adults, £64 concessions and £288 families. Early Bird discount ends Monday 3 August. Buy online here
