Surrey Scorchers bring home the win from Scotland with a huge 104-85 defeat over Glasgow Rocks in the BBL Championship.
Surrey Scorchers got off to a flying start against the Scotland based team, comfortably gaining a 7-0-point lead within the first two minutes of the game.
Scorchers then built on the initial points run to finish the first quarter 24-20.
Glasgow Rocks, not willing to give up the win that quickly, briefly spent the second quarter ahead on points, only to concede the lead back to Surrey Scorchers, who continued into Q3 by scoring a huge 33 points.
Tony Hicks and Gerald Robinson had stand out performances in Glasgow, both scoring 27 points apiece!
Josh Steel maintained a 100% record from the 3-point line to see out a convincing 104-85 win.
This is the first time Scorchers have broken the 100-point barrier in the 2017/18 season, this being the most points they’ve scored on the road in the Surrey Scorchers era.
Scorchers now boast back-to-back wins, building on last week’s 95-70 victory over Manchester Giants. They now look ahead to their next home game at Surrey Sports Park on the 26 November against Worcester Wolves.
