PREVIEW: Phoenix look to stop Scorchers rise

Scorchers travel to Cheshire on Sunday as they look to edge closer to confirming their place in the BBL play-offs.

Cheshire sit in ninth position and four games behind the Scorchers, with all to play for with head-to-head records on the line.

The sides met on the third game of the season in Cheshire, with the home side narrowly winning 82-80.

Scorchers got their revenge against the BBL Cup winners at Surrey Sports Park in February, defeating the northern side 111-94 behind 25 points and eight assists from Tony Hicks.

The 24-year-old Point Guard has been named Molten BBL Player Of The Month for a second consecutive time with an impressive string of performances.

Cheshire bolstered their roster in March with former Scorcher Elvisi Dusha. The point guard is second in the league in assists per game averaging seven per outing.

Scorchers will look to continue their blistering form in 2018, winning ten of their thirteen fixtures during the second half of the season.

Meanwhile Cheshire have fallen out of Playoff contention since their BBL Cup triumph over Worcester in January, winning just six of their fourteen fixtures since the final.

Tip-off in Cheshire on Sunday is at 5:30pm.
