The Opposition

Manchester Giants hit the BBL in the 2012/13 season, which saw them fall just short of the play-offs with a 9th place finish.

An average third campaign saw them finish in the same spot last season and failure to advance from both the Trophy and Cup first rounds, a record that they will be looking to improve on this year.

A less than ideal start to the season saw them pick up 2 wins in their opening pair of fixtures, but just 1 win has come their way since leaving them rock bottom in the BBL Championship.

The Ones to Watch

British basketball legend Yorick Williams took the helm over the summer as player-coach, adding his GB and BBL Championship experience to the north-west side's coaching setup.

Guard Stef Gill goes into the weekend needing seven more assists to reach 500 in the league and will be looking to complete this feat on Friday evening.

The Roster

Coach Creon is should have a full roster to choose from with a couple of players overcoming small knocks during the week.

The Form

With just 3 wins to their name this season, Giants come into the game on a 6 game losing streak which they will want to end sharply to prevent them falling too far adrift at the bottom of the table.

Giants last 5 games: LLLLL

Scorchers took a memorable home win against the Bristol Flyers last Friday, with captain Tayo Ogedengbe taking a huge 31 point haul, before falling short on the road to the Glasgow Rocks two days later.

A mix bag of results preceeded last weekend and Coach Creon will want his side to pick up their early season form once again with a win over the Giants.
