Plymouth Raiders 111 Surrey Scorchers 82

Scorchers were beaten on the road by the Plymouth Raiders.

Creon’s team were unable to slow down Plymouth’s deadly three-point shooting, as they shot over 50% from behind the arc.

Matthew Bryan-Amaning led the way for the Scorchers with 25 points in his first start for the team.

The Raiders started the game strongly and never looked back, as Josh Wilcher and Will Neighbour poured in some early buckets for the hosts.

Lovell Cook scored Scorchers’ opening six points, before MBA joined the offensive charge.

Scorchers improved in the second quarter, but the Raiders held a commanding double-digit lead at the break.

Skyler White got going in the third quarter with some impressive plays on both ends of the floor, before MBA went to work inside with some strong post moves.

However the Scorchers were convincingly out-scored by Plymouth, who couldn’t seem to miss in the final period, winning the game by 31 points.

It was a tough night for Creon’s side, but they will look to bounce back at home tomorrow against the Leicester Riders.
