An impressive first half performance from Scorchers was cancelled out by a strong Newcastle fightback.
Creon’s team led 31-19 after the first quarter, but the home team came charging back in the second half to win the game.
An impressive first quarter display from the entire team gave Scorchers the lead, and they deservedly led by eight points at the half.
But the Eagles came out flying in the second half, and forced multiple turnovers to flip the game on its head.
They led by eight points at the end of the third quarter.
Scorchers continued to battle, but after an eye injury to Skyler White, the Eagles continued to push on and won the game by 13 points.
