Match Preview: Surrey Scorchers vs. Worcester Wolves.

Surrey Scorchers head into this much-anticipated clash with the Worcester Wolves hoping to reach the BBL Cup semi-final for the first time in eight years.

Where: University Arena, Worcester
When: Sunday, Tip-off 16:00
‘We're not getting carried away.'
The Scorchers win over the Bristol Flyers earlier this season represented the first time they have reached the quarter-final stage in three seasons, and they will be hoping to go one better this time around. However, Surrey star Chaz Rollins is refusing to get carried away by the Scorchers win and insisted that they aren’t looking past this match in their BBL Cup bid. You can listen to that full interview below.

Worcester Wolves, on the other hand, have reached this stage of the competition seven years running, but have lost on six of those occasions, only making the semi-finals once in that time. That is something that they will be looking to put right in this game.

Alongside, their cup progress the Wolves have made a solid start to their league campaign, winning three out of their first eight matches leaving them just inside the play-off places. One of those wins was against the Scorchers when they faced each other in late October, on that occasion, the Wolves won 90-82 in a close fought contest.
Ones to watch.

Quincy Taylor is one to keep a close watch on as he scored an impressive 23 points against the London Lions on Wednesday, and is getting into his stride this season. While Chaz Rollins hit 15pts and 9rbs in that game and as such is another to keep an eye on.

Top scorer Andrew Bachman is a player to watch out for as he’s hit 111pts so far this season, including an impressive 12/12 on Free Throws. While Trevor Setty is not too far behind on 96 and will be another player to watch.
