Coach Creon ‘Losing hurts, but we have to move on’
Following the BBL Cup Semi-final defeat, Coach Creon said that he was very proud of the player’s efforts, but now that they are out they have to move on.
The game against Glasgow this weekend gives Scorchers the perfect opportunity to do that, as they face the team that knocked them out of the cup. However, they will also know that it will be a tough task as Glasgow are now on a 12 matches winning streak in League and Cup. On the other hand, their performance in the home tie of the BBL Cup will give them plenty of confidence as they only narrowly lost to the Rocks 81-79.
This game also signifies an importance’s to the league. Currently, in 8th position, Scorchers sit just inside the play-offs spots but with just 4 points separating them and 11th place they know every game is important.
While Glasgow sit at the opposite end of the table in 3rd, having won 9 of their 10 league matches so far this season, they are 6 points of the top spot but have played 4 games less than the team placed 1st.
