Surrey Scorchers defeated the Plymouth Raiders at Surrey Sports Park on Sunday to record their 11th win of 2018.
Creon Raftopoulos’ side have already confirmed their place in the BBL Play-Offs; and the Scorchers head coach believes consistency and momentum is the main focus now.
“Our goal was to get back into the Play-Offs, the guys have achieved that so now it’s about trying to maintain that same level of basketball.
“The key is trying to maintain home court, so when we do get to the Play-Offs whoever we have to play comes here knowing we’ve got a great fanbase.”
While their spot in the post-season action is confirmed, Raftopoulos believes his side can go on to achieve much more.
“These guys are all winners, that’s the great thing about the group we’ve got is they all want to win.”
Sunday’s win was Scorchers’ eighth consecutive home win, with another big crowd inspiring the side to victory.
Raftopoulos believes the fans have played an integral part in his team’s home form.
“It’s loud, it’s a credit to all of you guys.
“The coaches talk about how loud it is at Surrey Sports Park, and so we need to maintain that and feed off of your energy.”
