Brian Dux Vest Charity Auction

The Surrey Scorchers Foundation are raising money for former Guildford Heat player Brian Dux with a charity auction for a signed basketball jersey.

The jersey was worn during a recent benefit game for Brian, just one part of many events and fundraisers held in recent years by Surrey basketball fans.

Signed by a number of the sport’s legends including former Heat coach Paul James, fans’ favourite Chad McKnight, London Lions Head Coach Vince Macauley and Scorchers player Lekan Popoola, the vest would make a perfect gift or memorabilia for any basketball fan.

Tragedy struck Dux in November 2007 when he was involved in a car accident in Chobham, which cut his illustrious basketball career short, shocking fans across the world who knew and loved one of the sport’s biggest talents in the UK.

Since then Brian has made huge steps towards recovery with the support of his family and friends back at home in Buffalo, New York.

All proceeds from the auction will go towards running a community basketball tournament later on this year.

Click here to view the auction on eBay and make your bid. The auction closes at 7pm on Tuesday 12th January 2016.

Watch the video below for a special message from Brian to Surrey basketball fans, which was played at the home game against the Worcester Wolves on Saturday evening.
