Maurice Walker posted an impressive double-double of 17 points and 15 rebounds to lead the Wolves with Alejandro Navajas top scoring with 19 points.

It was the home side who made a strong start with a 10-4 opening, but Worcester settled and moved ahead on the back of an 8-1 close to the first quarter.

Worcester broke clear with a 15-1 burst in the second and they would take a 14-point cushion into the half-time interval.

The lead hit 16 points in the third with four minutes to go, but a 9-0 run from Surrey helped cut the gap down and they trailed by eight ahead of the final 10 minutes.

Back-to-back triples from Quincy Taylor and Will Neighbour in an 8-0 run fired the home side into the lead at 71-70. However, Wolves hit back with an 11-4 run and were able to hold on for the win.

Taylor netted a game-high of 26 points for the Scorchers but they were unable to reach a second Semi-Final of the season.

Scorchers head to Cheshire for a huge game on the road against the Phoenix on Sunday evening, before hosting the Plymouth Raiders in the club's first ever live BBC Sport game on Friday 17th February.
