The Opposition

A steady rise through the ranks has seen Worcester Wolves become one of the BBL's toughest oppositions for any side. Two successive 3rd place finishes in as many seasons, with one play-off title, are feats not to be dismissed as they celebrate their 10th season British Basketball's top flight.

Wolves remain on course for a top 4 finish once again this year, sitting in 3rd place with a 12-7 record.

Ones to Watch

A multi-national roster, with no fewer than 7 nationalities represented, still boasts a number of talented individuals including captain Jay Couisnard and former London Lions forward/guard Orlan Jackman, who Wolves have branded as "one of the UK's most exciting talents" after his signing last month.

Pavol Losonsky will be a big threat for Scorchers, having scored a total of 51 points in the two meetings between the sides so far this season.

The Roster

Scorchers Head Coach Creon Raftopoulos opted to let both DJ Felder and Jacob Loveridge go earlier this week as he looks to shuffle around a roster which has not been pulling in results in recent weeks.

News of a new signing ahead of Sunday’s game is due, pending all official paperwork and international clearance.

Will Neighbour still sits out to continue his recovery following a pre-Christmas shoulder operation.

The Form

Scorchers will be encouraged with the knowledge that Wolves have lost their last two outings, taking defeats on the road to both Cheshire Phoenix and Sheffield Sharks.

This followed a 4 game winning run, including two victories against Scorchers, which Head Coach Paul James will want to return to this weekend after hosting the Newcastle Eagles this evening.

Surrey meanwhile are still searching for their first BBL Championship win of the 2016, but a confidence-boosting win over the Reading Rockets in the BBL Trophy last week will aid them in believing that good league form is on the horizon.
