Surrey Scorchers are pleased to announce the completion of our 3rd US import signing as guard 6' 4" Desmond Lee puts pen to paper.
The 6'4" 25 year old arrives from NC State where he racked up nearly 400 points in his two season career with 19 starts- one of the Wolfpack's leading scorers during his 2013-14 junior season.
Lee led New Mexico Junior College to a 50-16 record previous to his time at NC and was ranked at the 10th best junior college prospect in the US, picking up JuCo All-American honors thanks to his efforts on court.
Following Desmond's singing Coach Raftopoulos said: "Lee is an exciting player and arrives from a high quality college basketball programme in the US. He possess the quality that I am looking for from my imports."
Lee joins DJ Felder and Nick Schlitzer to form Scorchers' US trio, with Tayo Ogendengbe and Andreas Schriber completing the roster thus far.
Don't forget that early bird season tickets are available until Monday 3rd August at 12pm, giving you the chance to catch Desmond Lee in action at every home BBL Championship match this season. Click here for more information.
